Tonight as it grew dark we stopped on the way bewteen Santo Domingo and Haiti to eat at Pollos Victorina -- a chicken and potato place.
Just before we ate dinner, Rev. Carlos Hernandez did a radio interview in Spanish with MetroNews based out of Phoenix, AZ. He described that the team arrived to conduct an assessment and to provide pastoral care to the aid workers and the Haitians. Shortly after Carlos' interview, Rev. Matthew Harrison was interviewed.
We have heard reports that people are fleeing Port-au-Prince. Later tonight we should have a better idea of the situation.
It is now dark here and we are traveling in two vehicles. We should arrive at our destination in a few more hours and meet up with our MMT team.
