A Few More Guests

By yesterday most of the International church leaders had returned home. Bishop Wilhelm Weber and Deputy Bishop Vilakazi of the Lutheran Church in South Africa (LCSA) came to the International Center to meet with representatives of the Southern Illinois District and to discuss challenges, opportunities, and church relations matters. All in all a productive and pleasant visit.

Meanwhile, at the same time as the South African Church leaders were visiting, Pastor Fritz Baue from the Southern Illinois District came for a visit. In between meetings, he was able to get a brief tour of the offices and to give greetings to President Harrison.

I imagine now that the initial flood from the installation, board meetings, etc. has passed, there will not be quite as many guests passing through the doors and consequently, fewer pictures posted. After a six or so week marathon (from the end of convention through the installation service), President Harrison and his executive staff are looking forward to a couple of days off. Maybe I'll go mountain biking this weekend.
